After several weeks of 6/7 clears and some pretty good attempts on him, we decided to forge ahead without our fearless leader - and our venerable Healadin - and try to force the big flaming homer's hand.
After a dozen attempts wherein we managed to get him into Ph3 only once, which resulted in a heartbreaking 3% wipe, we determined "ok, let's give him one more solid try".
Our Baker's Dozen efforts proved successful, and the big flamer ran off to burn off his wounds. We may yet see his nasty face in heroic, but we shall see.

Last night a group of ICers took on the elemental lord of air, the last obstacle in our quest for the title and the fancy mount.
Compared to Nef, Al'akir is a pushover and a half. Avoid some stuff on the ground and dps him down, EZ mode. After a couple of false starts last night we got him on our 3rd or 4th (?) attempt.
Grats to everyone who got their titles last night. And special thanks to Bel and T for filling in.
Don't forget that with that kill the guild vendor now has [Reins of the Dark Phoenix] and it's available to everyone!
